I grew up in rural Pennsylvania. My grandfather was both a coal miner and a farmer, and my great-grandfather farmed in western Missouri. I come from a big, close-knit family that taught me the value of hard work, grit, and looking out for each other. Even now, our Buchanan family reunion brings nearly a hundred of us back to the farm. That upbringing shapes how I approach my work — I listen closely, work relentlessly, and believe that everyone deserves to be heard.

Early in my legal career, I graduated from a top law school and worked in Big Law, in-house, and on the defense side for excess insurers. But I didn’t feel fulfilled until I found the courage to switch sides and start representing people — real people — who were hurt and needed someone to fight for them. That’s when I found my purpose.

Outside the courtroom, I love skiing (especially soft bumps), photographing the quiet beauty of nature, or just spending time at home with my family and dogs on a snowy day. I believe in big skies, strong coffee, and the power of a well-told story.
